How do I remove stains from a silver pleather/suede wallet?
Q. I had my wallet in my purse, and on the interior of my purse there is a pink and purple flower design. One day I went out into the rain and it went inside my purse, staining my wallet. My wallet has now purple stains on the edges of it on the suede and the pleather. What can I do to remove this? Would nail polish remover work? The rain went onto the fabric inside my purse, thus staining the wallet.

How do you get water stains off a leather wallet?
Q. I recently got a new wallet with painted monogram on it, and somehow a few drops of water got on to it. And now there's water stains on those areas, they look a little darker. Not all that noticeable, not enough to annoy me. Is there a way to get them out? And yes, I did let the water dry out when it happened. I meant *but* enough to annoy me.

How can I restore quality to my leather wallet after having sent it through a washing machine?
Q. I have a genuine Italian leather wallet that has made its way into the washing machine. It's now hard and lumpy. How can I restore it to its original quality? Thanks in advance.
Asked by Answers Via Google - Sat Jan 3 17:10:12 2009 - Cleaning & Laundry - 4 Answers - Comments
A. I doubt you will ever get it back to "original quality". Try saddle soap to start, then after it's completely dry work a generous quantity of mink oil or neatsfoot oil into it. Be prepared to use a lot of elbow grease as well. You may never get the lumps out, but the more you work the leather the softer it will get.

How can I clean or remove stains from my wallet?
Q. I have a light pink leather wallet I really like and I tried to clean it with soap and water but it just made it worst and made stains that were settled way more noticeable. What can I use to remove stains? I have a leather protector to use afterwards but I really need to find a good way to remove the stains.

A. It might depend on the stain ... but if you have used soap and water then you have pretty much ruined it. Sorry. You might try dyeing it, but even that would depend on what caused the original stain. UPDATE: A down-thumb? Thanks for that. .

how to wash or clean a leather wallet?
Q. hi there; i have had a leather wallet (brown) for 4 years. since it was always in my back pocket it absorbed my perspiration so now it smells stink. how can i wash it? im afraid to destroy it with putting it into washmachine or wash it with chemical powders coz it`s original leather and very expensive.
Asked by kalendar_file - Mon Oct 22 13:31:35 2007 - Cleaning & Laundry - 4 Answers - Comments
A. Never put leather, suede or wool in a washing machine! If the leather has a sealant on it, you may use saddle soap. If its nubuck leather you cannot. If you're not sure, spot test it to see if it stains (on an interior side). You can also use leather cleaning wipes to clean it out. Sprinkle baking soda on it will also absorb many odors and won't stain.

What type wallet is better to take on a trip to Europe for better protection from pick-pockets?
Q. I am getting ready to go on a trip to Europe and I've heard several different suggestions about taking a neck-wallet, a regular wallet, and a chain wallet. I need a wallet that is, for the most part, safe from theft. What type wallet is better to take? Thanks for any advice!
Asked by MYSTERIO!!! - Wed Jan 2 22:09:08 2008 - Other - Europe - 2 Answers - 1 Comments
A. All three. Distribute your money around so that if one wallet gets stolen you can still enjoy the trip. I always travel with at least 3 wallets: one for the plastic, one for the cash and one that I take out for all to see and has the small change. Have copies of all important documents in your luggage. If possible scan and email them to an account that you can access at an internet cafe.

How do I get my photo printer to print wallet size pics?
Q. I know what size wallet size photos are but I am wondering if anyone knows how to get the printer to print that size out? I have an Epson Photo Stylus R1800 printer.
Asked by GS - Wed Jun 23 01:32:23 2010 - Printers - 1 Answers - Comments
A. First, take a digital photo of yourself. Stand in front of a white background and pose with a natural expression, closed mouth (no smiling) and open eyes. Be sure and capture your head completely in front of the white background. Log on to epassportphoto. com and select the passport country of origin. Compare photo with "composition checklist" to be sure photo is usable. Then, browse for the photo and upload. From that point, you can crop, download and print your valid passport photos right to your home printer. It's that easy and saves you a trip to the photo shop where you'd pay to have the exact same thing done.

What happens if you forget your wallet at home and get pulled over by the police?
Q. Would you be arrested? What would they do if you had no drivers license, ID, insurance info etc on you? I'm asking because I drove an hour to and back home from my moms today and didn't realize that I didn't have my wallet in my purse until I got home and saw it laying on the computer desk. Then I started getting nervous thinking about what would have happened if I would have been pulled over.
Asked by Kitty - Sat Nov 3 19:43:38 2007 - Law Enforcement & Police - 4 Answers - Comments
A. Two things could happen. You could be charged with the initial violation, plus failure to produce a valid drivers license, and insurance. This means you would be taken into the station where you would have to post a cash bond. On the other hand, the Officer could check your information, and see if you have a valid license. If you do, if would be up to him/her as to whether or not to give you a pass.

What is the perfect amount of coins to keep in your wallet to make 99 cents?
Q. I want to know how many coins to keep in my wallet to make perfect change whenever i buy something.
Asked by eewongjr - Sat Aug 23 14:15:25 2008 - Mathematics - 6 Answers - Comments
A. I think the question is What is the minimal set of coins that can make ANY amount from 1c to 99c ? 4 x 1c takes care of 0-4c 1 x 5c takes care of 5-9c (with the pennies) 1 x 10c takes care of 10-19c Then you need another nickel or dime to cover 20-24c. We now have 0-24c. Then adding a quarter to these takes care 25-49c and adding a half-dollar takes care of 50-99c. 4 pennies 1 nickel 1 dime 1 quarter 1 half-dollar + (1 nickel or 1 dime) 9 coins. .
